Piper Jim Rembisz made his mark as an entertainer in his early years as a singer and guitarist for the Melody Boys, a Western group in the Harrisburg area, opening for Les Paul and Mary Ford. For the last 40 years, Jim has directed the Spirit Choir guitar Mass of Saint Mary's in Schwenksville, PA. After a career in teaching English and history in the Perkiomen Valley School District, Jim began to invest his energies with the pipes, captivated by Riverdance, Celtic Women, Irish Tenors, Phil Coulter, and Robin Mark. Keith Swanson, an accomplished musician for Barleyjuice, a Celtic rock band and leader of Loch Rannoch Pipes and Drums Band, became his instructor.
Over the last 15 years, Jim has been invited to play at numerous venues---social gatherings, birthdays, anniversaries, golf outings, VIP receptions, grand openings, graduations, promotions, corporation events, parades, and medieval banquets, adding a WOW factor to the occasion. Being invited to pipe at Arlington National Cemetery has been a highlight to his career. Jim was honored to pipe at the Alamo as well as a reunion of WWII navigators in Louisiana; regularly you will see him at events for Rolling Thunder, Inc., in NJ and Washington, D.C., as well as Millville AAF Base in NJ.
